Galleries & Current Exhibits

The popular Button Gallery, a fixture on Michigan’s “Art Coast” for many years, is located at 33 Center Street, in the center of downtown Douglas. Michael Rippey’s original oil paintings have been exhibited at Button Gallery since 2022, as part of an eclectic collection of two-dimensional and three-dimensional fine art, thoughtfully curated by gallery owner Michael Burmeister. Button Gallery is open from March through December and is available by appointment during January and February. Galleria, at 447 Washington Boulevard in Holland, offers a unique combination of art gallery, working artist studios, bistro/cocktail lounge, and event spaces. Michael Rippey has been represented by The Galleria since 2019, and typically has about a dozen paintings on display throughout Galleria’s exhibit areas, where art lovers can explore the collection while enjoying a glass of wine or craft cocktail from the bistro. A sampling of Rippey oil paintings always is on display near the entrance to one of Holland’s most popular restaurants, Butch’s Dry Dock, located in the Riverview Building at 44 East 8 th Street. Through the winter of 2022-23, Approximately 20 of Michael Rippey’s original oil paintings are on exhibit in the second floor art gallery of The Inn at Harbor Shores, which is situated in downtown St. Joseph, along the south bank of the St. Joseph River.
