Painting on Commission

The original Michael Rippey painting shown here was done “on commission,” the term artists use for what basically is a special order. This painting portrays the famous 18th hole at the iconic St. Andrews Golf Links in Scotland. This piece was painted expressly for the lobby of St. Andrews Products, Michigan City, Indiana.

Michael considers it a privilege and special challenge to create an original oil painting that will have special meaning for one of our clients or someone important to them. Rippey paintings have become birthday presents and Christmas presents; wedding, retirement, housewarming gifts; and special tributes for other special occasions.
