Still Lifes

 I haven't done many still life paintings, and many of those that I do attempt are not what you would consider  traditional."   

For example, the painting shown above of the "little green apples" is actually four feet wide, and the painting below of the peppers is only slightly smaller.   

Probably the ones I have had the most fun painting are the last three down below, done in oil on archival paper, in a style that I call "not so still life."    The idea of fruit flying through the air - well, don't ask me where that came from, I can't explain it.   Nor can I explain how I came up with the idea of blueberries riding on grapefruit, hoping to escape three hungry crows.
